Rare wavy black leather belt with large cicada-like insects and sunbursts circling the waist by Phelps, a hard-to-find American designer whose collection is archived at the Met Museum and pictured in a 1944 Vogue market editorial spread.

  • Brass cicada and sunburst hardware
  • Brass buckle with 5 holes
  • Signed Phelps on back of buckle
  • Very good vintage condition, light surface rippling to leather due to age, very light patina/wear to brass hardware, green discoloration spots from metal fastener by buckle
