1994 S/S Botanical Side Slit Dress

Cheerful plant printed silk dress and sash by Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche from the Spring 1994 runway collection. Smooth silk dress features a vibrant print of green leaves, branches, shrubs and blossoms against a bold, bright background, broken up by a thigh-high slash of skin. Lined blouson bodice with a softly draped cowl neck opening and lightly padded short dolman sleeves reverses to a diamond keyhole back with jeweled button. Long draped skirt has a waist-high leg opening with side zipper and hook-and-eye closures. Long sash can be tied at the neck or belted around the waist to complete the sweetly seductive look. We would wear with our hair in a messy topknot, chunky gold charm bracelet, and woven basket bag for a little French je n'ais ce quoi. Fuchsia, lime, jungle green, black, white.
