1988 A/W Velvet Satin Corset

Velvet and satin corset top by Saint Laurent Rive Gauche from the Fall/Winter 1988 runway collection. Flexible boned bodice with a sweetheart neckline in rich velvet and satin carves out the curves with dramatic style. Decorative buttons line the front atop a concealed zipper closure with hook-and-eye to finish. Inner reinforced waist belt holds everything in place. We would take inspiration from Le Smoking and wear this piece under sharp suiting and a sleek cigarette pant with pointed stilettos- though it would just as stunning atop a billowy ball skirt. Black, red.
